Indian Head Massage is a traditional Indian Therapy using
acupressure and massage. The practitioner manipulates the soft tissues in the shoulders and scalp by using a
range of different massage pressures and rhythms which
stimulate the head, shoulders and neck area
Indian Head Massage helps to co-ordinate mind, body and spirit
when these have become fragmented and out of sync through
fatigue,
anxiety and restlessness. Indian head massage leaves you with a
feeling of calmness, clarity and well-being
The therapy is especially
effective in relaxing the shoulder and neck muscles. The release of
toxins is encouraged by easing tense, knotted muscles which in turn
relieves any stiffness in the neck and shoulders. As the muscles relax so
circulation is improved
and oxygen flows more freely to the brain. Indian Head Massage can help to relieve eye strain, jaw ache,
sinus congestion,
insomnia and shoulder & neck ache
Indian Head Massage has also been attributed with
promoting hair growth by the stimulation of the scalp
After your consultation
you will sit in a chair whilst the therapy is performed. A full treatment
usually lasts between 30 and 40
minutes
and is carried out fully clothed. Please wear lightweight, loose fitting
clothing and do not eat a big meal
beforehand
